CCRE is providing consultation and education in conjunction with the cast. There will be talk back sessions after each of the three showings.

Youth Changing the World Summer Camp

Youth Changing the World is a one week FREE camp dedicated to service learning and social justice. Students will learn about community issues and how they can make a meaningful difference through promoting community awareness, advocacy, service and philanthropy.

When: July 11 - July 15, 2022, M-Th 9 am - 3:30 pm, F 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

Who: Grades 6-10

More Details:

  • Lunch will be provided.

  • The week will culminate with a field trip to Annapolis on Friday, July 15th.

  • Attendees will earn 25 service hours towards graduation.

  • Registration begins on March 14th.

  • Enrollment limited to 30 students. Applications will be accepted on a first come-first served basis.

Reflecting on issues prominent in today's headlines, themes of Black voter suppression and intimidation, the violence and depravity of vigilante "justice," and the rise of Jim Crow drive the narrative to its dramatic and surprising conclusion.

Mr. Gay will be in conversation with Ted Zaleski, Director of Management and Budget for Carroll County Government.
