Carroll Kids for Equity, a youth-led community organization in Carroll County, partnered with McDaniel’s Women’s Basketball team to support the team’s #CCTeamUP initiative during their game on Wednesday, February 16th. This initiative focuses on volunteering and community efforts to support diversity, equity, and inclusion within the campus and the surrounding community. The team worked hard to raise funds for local organizations that strive toward similar goals. Carroll Kids for Equity members were eager to select Together We Own It and Lighten the Load to be the two recipients of the funds. Together We Own It is a local organization that provides childcare, parenting support, and more opportunities for students in Carroll County.
